Daniela Husnik Wilson, PhotographerDaniela was born and raised by her parents in the communist country of Czechoslovakia and lived in the capital city Prague till the age of 19. When the opportunity was presented to escape Czechoslovakia and live with her father and brother in Canada, Daniela made the decision to leave her family behind and seek freedom. Even though it was a tragic choice for Daniela at that time, she persevered and made Canada her new home.

While in Canada, Daniela has made a life for her family throughout the province of Ontario.   Daniela and her children (now grown up) had the privilege of living on the beautiful St. Joseph Island located in the Algoma region of Ontario for eleven years. On the island Daniela has turned her dream to be a photographer into a reality. Her work was exhibited in various galleries and businesses throughout the Algoma Region. The natural beauty and splendor of Algoma has never left Daniela without an awe inspiring subject to capture on film.

"There is no better way to relax and be myself than go out with my camera bag and look for great shoots. When I am surrounded with nature, I am really surrounded by God's creation and His presence," said Daniela as she was reflecting on what photography means to her.

After 24 years of living in Canada, Daniela has relocated to USA to be with her new husband where she continues to improve her skills and techniques by studying with notable photographers, attaining a mastery of many areas of photography. Her interests differ from scenery, architecture, animals, flowers, and on some instances people. Currently, her main focus has been macro photography, mostly in colour, but she has a keen eye for black and white. A new addition to Daniela's equipment and style is now also Digital Photography.
